When I am writing this post, the price of most vegetables dropped significantly. I mean when two or three weeks ago prices of many essential vegetables/spices were very high. But the scenario was not the same today. Today potatoes, onions, tomatoes etc are available at a very low price. Many farmers are worried due drop in the price of such vegetables. In fact, two medium-size cauliflowers are available at Rs 10. I do not know how they are actually making a profit. In fact, the storage cost of such perishable vegetable is very high. So when supply increases suddenly and demand is almost the same then drop in price will definitely happen. Performer of the month – November 2020 – radish/mooli
This winter, I am growing almost every type of vegetables in my rooftop kitchen garden. I am also growing those organically. Though in the middle of December, I am getting a good amount of sem phali/sheem/hyacinth beans, brinjals, spinach (palak), coriander leaves, tomatoes. But radish was the performer of the month in November 2020. I grew red radishes in 8 pots. I got 33 radishes throughout the month of November.
