Best methi bhaji ki sabji; Yummy methi ki bhaji for an awesome meal

February 3, 2021 By admin Leave a Comment

Though every single person does not love methi bhaji ki sabji because it has a strong & unique flavor. Anybody can identify a methi ki sabji because of its special flavor & slightly bitter taste. But still whoever like the flavor of fenugreek (methi) also like any kind of methi bhaji ki sabji. Adding fresh feenugreek leaves make any dish very mouth-watering. It also has slightly spicy smell. That is why there are many people who love such dishes a lot. Particularly in Northern Indian states, most people love methi ki sabji. In West Bengal, it is also very popular.

But the preparations of such methi bhaji ki sabji are different from region to region across the country.

Methi ki bhaji

Punjabi style methi aloo

This is a very special mouthwatering North Indian dish. It is very popular in Punjab, Delhi, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh etc. The taste of this dish is very special. During the winter season, it is very easily available at most roadside dhaba as well as many restaurants too. It is often served with roti, naan, paratha etc. I love to have it with tawa roti or phulka with some butter on the top. It is really super delicious because of the flavor of fenugreek leaves. Di you ever taste it? If not then do not forget to try it in this winter.

Methi bhaji ki sabji

Bengali style methi begun

Punjabi style methi aloo is not popular in Bengal. But here people make it with brinjal instead of potatoes. Methi begun is less spicy than Punjabi style methi aloo. Secondly, Bengali people love to have methi begun with rice instead of roti or paratha or naan. Methi begun is a simple Bengali dish what needs only a few ingredients. But it is not a perfect dish for having with roti.

Fresh fenugreek leaves are also used to make various delicious dishes in various Indian cuisines. Fenugreek leaves are often added to mixed saag.

It is also used to make methi paratha, methiwala missi paratha, thepla etc. Did you ever try those awesome dishes? Thepla is a very popular Gujarati dish. Ready to eat theplas are also available at various Gujarati snack corners. I used to buy such theplas from a store located in Kamlanagar when I was in Delhi. Spicy pickled chillies used to be added in those packs. I loved those theplas for evening snack or morning breakfast. Those are really delicious.
