I used to visit restaurant every week for having spicy potato wedges and double cheese chicken pizza meal every Saturday in Mumbai. I used to wait for the Saturday. Those potato wedges are really delicious and before that I never thought potato wedges can be so delicious. Though everybody wants ready to eat food will be served to him/her and he/she will just enjoy those. But you can eat fried food outside so regularly because it won’t be a healthy practice and secondly it will increase your monthly expense on food. So you try to make those at home. It is a simple and very effortless spicy potato wedges recipe. Though if you will have this at restaurant then you can control its spicy but if you try this homemade recipe then you can adjust spices according to your taste & mood.
Homemade spicy potato wedges recipe
- 3 medium size potatoes
- 1.5 table spoons of corn flour
- 1.5 teaspoons of red chilli powder
- 1 teaspoons of black pepper powder
- 2 teaspoons of chaat masala
- 2 teaspoons of lemon juice
- Salt as needed
- 2 table spoons of vegetable oil
- Take 3 medium size of potatoes, wash those properly and cut into thin wedges and wash again
- Now boil water in a sauce pan, add salt and then boil potato wedges over medium flame for 3-4 minutes
- Then drain water and keep those semi boiled potato wedges for further usage
- Heat vegetable oil in a pan and then add those semi boiled potato wedges over low flame for 5-7 minutes till outer surface of potato wedges become light brown
- Now those those semi fried potato wedges in a plate till it reaches at room temperature then keep those semi fried wedges in refrigerator for atleast one hour
- Then whenever you want to eat potato wedges, take those wedges out, wait for next 3-5 minutes and spread corn flour, red chilli powder, black pepper powder, salt and coated those spices over potato wedges properly by hand
- Heat oil in a pan and then fry those potato pieces over medium flame and take those deep fried potatoes in a serving plate, spread chaat masala and lemon juice over cooked potato wedges
- Serve these yummy homemade spicy potato wedges with mayonnaise or tomato sauce or schezwan sauce
