Homegrown vegetables & fruits – January 2020

Growing fruits & vegetables in your backyard is really fun. But if you do not have a yard garden then DON’T GET DISAPPOINTED still you can grow fresh fruits & vegetables in a container garden. Many people are developing such garden on their rooftop. So are your belonging to that group of people? Nowadays chemical-free organic homegrown vegetables & fruits become the major motivating factor to develop own garden.

These are spinach plants grown in 4-inch pots. I grew spinach in 14 pots. But now I have only 8 pots.

These are 5 weeks old cauliflower plants. So I am expecting small cauliflower florets in the next 2 weeks

These are 2 months old tomato plants. My tomato plants are already producing fruits.

This plant has more than 20 fruits. I never expected such a great result. It will produce more tomatoes in coming days.

These are 6 weeks old green pea plants. Those plants are still growing and till now I have not seen any flowers.

It is a very small bottle gourd plant grown in 14-inch pot.

This is the first fruit on my bottle gourd plant grown in pot. It is still developing.

Neem plants which are used to produce neem oil pesticide, as well as young leaves, are used to make neem begun (a popular Bengali dish).

These are homegrown organic fenugreek plants. No chemical fertilizer and pesticide are used to grow these plants.

These are homegrown chemical-free lettuce & spinach plants.

This is my only capsicum plant but unfortunately, it has stopped its growth.

These are seedlings of chilli plant. My strawberry plant is still struggling to produce fruits.

You can see 6 brinjal (eggplant) plants grown in pots. 2 plants are 2 months old. 1 plant is 6 months old and 3 plants are just one month old. Marigold plants are kept on the North Side of those plants to protect those from insects & flies.

These are homegrown coriander plants.

Ohh, I am the cat who entertains people when they do hard work in this garden.

These are fresh homegrown mint plants. These plants are providing fresh mint leaves throughout the year.

Hmmm, garden tour is done. Now leave me alone. It is a bright sunny day. I need to rest, so do not disturb me.
