Best aloo jeera recipe – Try at home
Preparation time : 10 minutes
Cooking time : 20 minutes
Serves : 2-4
Ingredients
- Potato (aloo) – 2 large size (cut into small cubes)
- Ginger – 1/2 inch (grated)
- Cumin (jeera) seeds – 4 tsp
- Red chili powder – 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
- Sunflower oil – 1 tbsp
- Green chili – 1 large (chopped)
- Coriander leaves – for garnish
- Lemon juice – few drops
- Salt – 1 tsp
Method
- Cut aloo / potato into small cubes and boil in salty water for 10 minutes
- heat oil in frying pan and add grated ginger and cumin seeds
- Cook for 3 minutes and add chopped green chilies
- Now add potato cubes, add salt and cook well
- Once potato changed its color to light brown, add red chili powder and turmeric powder
- Fry for another 3-4 minutes and add coriander leaves
- Switch off flame and spread few drops of lemon juice over aloo jeera
- Serve hot
Additional tips
⇒ Do not over boil or under boil potato, boil this in salty water
⇒ You can avoid grated ginger too if you do not like ginger but I like ginger flavor in aloo jeera

- Green chili – 1 large
- Coriander leaves (chopped) – for garnish
- Lemon juice – according to taste
- Salt – 1 tsp
- Cut potato into small cubes and boil
- heat oil in a pan and add ginger and cumin seeds

- Now add small potato cubes, add salt and cook well
