It has been raining continuously for the last six weeks. I hardly noticed shiny days during this period. So all plants were in serious trouble for this period. Application of pesticide, fungicide & liquid fertilizer became impossible for every gardener. So this year, each plant are in stress, particularly which are grown in pots or containers or grow-bags. Normally rainy season is the best season for every plant and it is the growing season for most plants/trees. But this year, due to heavy rain & water logging my plants are not getting proper nutrition, so plants are not happy. Here is the overview of my homegrown vegetables & fruits in August 2020. You can also notice that a few of my plants are really under stress.
I am sharing the overview of my rooftop vegetable & fruit garden since last a few months. Every month I harvested a significant amount of homegrown fruits & vegetables. But this month is a little bit exceptional because most plants are in stress due to continuous rain. But still, I was able to harvest enough cucumbers & brinjals/eggplants. My bitter gourd plants are 5-6 months old, so those are not producing enough bitters gourds. During this month, I had only 6 okra plants which were producing okra.

But this was the month for Brahmi & water spinach. This season, I harvested plenty of these two leafy vegetables. As much as I harvested these two, those grow more rapidly.

My cowpea beans (borboti or yardlong beans) also dissatisfied me because of heavy rain and attack of aphids.
I am happy for the performance of pomegranate trees grown in containers. It produced a lot of flowers and produced a few fruits too. These trees are very young, just one & a half years old. So I am expecting more fruits during the winter season which is the actual season of these trees.

This month I have already sowed a few seeds of many winter vegetables. I am expecting that those will germinate soon. These are red radish seeds, carrot seeds, tomato seeds, leek seeds, celery seeds, broccoli seeds, Chinese cabbage seeds, french bean seeds.
I also sowed apple gourd (tinda) seeds but only one seed germinated. I hope I will get a few tinda during this winter too.
