Vegetable prices are increasing day by day. Particularly a few vegetables what people use everyday are very costly nowadays. Prices of potato, onion, tomato were very high throughout the November month. Those are still high in the middle of December month. So it impacted seriously on common people’s grocery budget.
Many people were standing for hours infront of Government fair price shop to buy potatoes at reasonable rate. But there are many seasonal vegetables like cauliflowers, sheem/sem phali which are available at very cheap rate.
So I do not know why people do not consume more such vegetables rather than those which are costly. I mean people should eat cauliflower more than potato because after 3-4 months this vegetable will be expensive and you can not get fresh cauliflower easily.
Radish is also available for a few bucks. Carrots & brinjals were not so expensive.
But shimla mirch or capsicum is super expensive. Fortunately this season, I am growing capsicum plants in 6 pots. So I am expecting a good amount of organic capsicum in this season.
