I am quite addicted to soup and I spent a lot of money for that. Every time when I went to have my lunch or dinner any a restaurant, I definitely ordered soups. After that since last two years I started making soups at home too. Before that I never made soup at home as only prefer to make food for proper meal or breakfast because that time cooking was not my hobby, I used to cook for years when I lived away from my home town. I had no other option except cooking whenever I wanted to have something from the list of my childhood favorite foods. But now things are different, I do not need to cook to survive. I cook only when I want to make something special or do some experiment with available ingredients.
Today had to write this post because I had made it tomato onion soup few days back and enjoyed it fullest but unfortunately I could not manage time to write this post and share with you in last few days. I thought I was busy but I was actually not busy. To be very honest I just wasted those days without doing anything productive. Now I can realize that I could manage few hours from my schedule but I did not so. Even today I spent whole day like any other normal day of my life. I spent few hours to watch share markets movement, nothing special happened to me and it disappointed me again. Then I took care of my plants, watering those and spend some good time in my rooftop garden. After that I spent couple of hours with my own study. It was insane & BRUTAL too that I was killing my time and still I am smiling. Then finally I started writing this post. A nice end of a day with bad starting. Ha ha.

Okay I have wasted enough time of yours along with mine. So no more killing of your valuable time, just go straight to this tomato onion soup for what you have landed on this page. This tomato onion soup is little dark in color and sour in taste as compare to any other tomato soup. You may think why it is called as tomato onion soup, why it is not called as onion tomato soup as it’s base is prepared with tomato paste. I also thought about it. I mean when you look at this soup then it should be in your mind very first. But when you taste it and bite soft onion slices then the whole game will change. Ha ha!
You can use ready made tomato puree and use it in tomato onion soup or use ripe red colored tomatoes and blend it in mixer grinder to make tomato paste. This whole soup is cooked with butter. That brings different flavor in this soup. But some health conscious people may want to sacrifice taste over health, so if it is your case then go with refined oil (or sunflower oil) and use refined oil to make this tomato onion soup instead of butter. The color of this soup may surprise you as it is much more darker than any other tomato soups. It is because of using soy sauce in this soup but NEVER add too much soy sauce to this soup. Extra soy sauce can destroy whole taste of this tomato onion soup. Lemon juice brings sour taste to this soup also. Due to addition of these all ingredients this soup becomes different and more tastier than tomato soup or any other normal onion soup.
