So if taste is good then people will definitely prefer those. So why can we not make such kind of tasty snacks at our home and most importantly healthy too? You must admit that soya chunks (also called as soy chunks) contain high protein, if not then you can see nutrition value of your soy chunk’s package. Now what will you think about spicy soya chunks fry with grilled vegetables? Healthy or Unhealthy? It’s name suggest that all.

When we actually think about fries, first we think about potato fries (french fires) or something crispy & crunchy. But here it is not. It is definitely spicy because of adding some nice Indian spices but it’s not crispy or crunchy in that sense. As you need to soak soya chunks in water for half an hour which makes soya chunks soft. Now you will add sweet, sour, hot taste in soya chunks. Sound interesting?
Now you have made super tasty & high protein food ready but it’s not finish. You need to serve this with some grilled vegetables too. Take tomatoes, cucumber & onion (capsicum optional) and add some spices & ingredients as specified below. Vegetables will make spicy soya chunks fry a complete meal and very delicious too.

- Spicy soya chunks fry
- Soy chunks - 1.5 cup
- Tomato puree - ¼ cup
- Chili sauce - 3 tsp
- Soy sauce - 2 tsp
- Red chili powder - 1.5 tsp
- Roasted cumin / bhuna jeera powder - 1 tsp
- Roasted coriander / dhania powder - 1 tsp
- Garam sala - 1 tsp
- Lemon juice - 1 tsp
- Oil - ½ tbsp
- Salt - as needed
- Grilled vegetables
- Cucumber - 1 medium size
- Tomato - 2 medium size
- Onion - 2 large size
- Black pepper powder - 3 tsp
- Red chili powder - 1 tsp
- Salt - as needed
- Lemon juice - 2 tsp
- Olive oil - as needed
- For spicy soy chunks fry
- Soak soya chunks in water for 30 minutes
- Now heat oil in cooking pan and add tomato puree, chili sauce, red chili powder, roasted cumin & coriander powder and stir well
- Now add soya chunks and mix with spices & suaces, then add salt & cook for 3-4 minutes
- Now add soya sauce & garam masala and mix with soya chunks
- Cook for another 3 minutes and add lemon juice & switch off burner
- For grilled vegetables
- Cut all vegetables and add olive oil, black pepper, red chili powder & salt
- keep in microwave oven safe flat pot and place it in oven
- Now grill it for 6-7 minutes at high power level
- Take vegetables out of oven and add lemon juice
- Keep in serving plate and also keep spicy soya chunks fry
- Spread some more black pepper powder and additional lemon wedge
- Serve hot or warm
