This is one of my favorite sweet dishes during summer. At home, I called it as anaras-er chutney in Bengali. This fruit is mostly available in the market during the months of May and June. It is popular across the region due to its flavor smell and sweetness. I think probably there are only very few people who actually do not like this fruit or recipes prepared with this fruit. It is that much mouth watering.

During summer if you attend any party or reception you will definitely see a dish made of this fruit (of course along with most famous summer fruit mangoes). Particularly if you visit any wedding reception party during summer in Bengal and even in Bangladesh you will definitely see some dishes in anaras. There you will also see a lot of crushed dry fruits are also added to this sweet dish to make this more delicious and mouth watering.
