Bhadhakopi ghonto is nothing but traditional Bengali style cabbage curry. It is prepared at every Bengali household during the winter season. Many people love to have it almost regularly during the season. There are many Bengali households where it is prepared almost every alternate day. Yes, it is such a common & popular dish in West Bengal as well as Bangladesh.
There are many different types of dum aloo prepared across the different Indian cuisines. But Bengali style niramish aloor dum is very special because garlic & onion are not used to make such niramish aloor dum. Such dum aloo prepared without using onion & garlic is delicious too. It taste better when such a dish is served with basanti pulao or khichdi (khichuri).

Every year, I harvest two-three mocha (banana blossom) from our yard garden and make it. Such mochar ghonto is always special & very delicious.
