Natural and spicy lemonade is always blissful. We all love to drink such natural & spicy lemonade during summer days or whenever we are tired enough. Though lemonade is a common drink but what is spicy lemonade? Not only that, here what does it mean by natural & spicy lemonade? Haha!
Okay, here natural means, less processed ingredients are used. Shocked? Just for example, instead of using sugar, sugar cane juice is added to make this drink more mouthwatering and refreshing. That means you can not try this anytime throughout the year unless you have grown sugarcane plants in your backward.
In case, there is a permanent sugarcane stall in your locality then you can have such drink for a longer period. Otherwise, roaming sugarcane juice sellers hardly can be seen during the period from mid of April to mid of June in the country. Atleast here in West Bengal you need wait for several days for arrival of such roaming sugarcane juice seller at your doorstep. This year, I had to wait for a few weeks when I found a fresh sugarcane juice seller at my doorstep.

But when I was in Powai, Mumbai, Maharashtra I knew some permanent sugarcane juice corners where I used to drink such drinks very often. Even for atleast six months in a year, it was available. I knew many such stalls in Nashik too. But here in Kolkata, I did not notice any such juice corners. Did you notice any such stall in your locality? If yes, then I must say you are very lucky. I always miss those beautiful days.
Apart from sugarcane juice, I need lemon juice, fresh mint leaves and of-course spices to make this mouthwatering & so refreshing natural & spicy lemonade. I felt so refreshed each time I consumed such awesome natural & spicy lemonade. Any kind of lemonade drink is always good during summer or anytime when you feel so tired. But the taste of this natural & spicy lemonade.
Natural & spicy lemonade recipe
- 2 glasses of fresh sugarcane juice (ganne ka juice)
- 3 teaspoons lemon juice (nimbu)
- 1 cup fresh mint leaves (pudina patta)
- ½ teaspoon chaat masala
- ½ teaspoon roasted cumin powder (bhuna jeera powder)
- 1 tablespoon sugar, optional (if sugarcane juice is not sweet enough)
- Take everything in a blender, Now blend to make a smooth drink
- Strain this drink in a large bowl and pour natural & spicy lemonade into two glasses
- Serve this with extra mint leaves & lemon slices
I was so blessed for being able to grow mint plants from a cutting. I tried several times to grow such plants from cutting but each time I failed to do so. But this time I did this successfully and now new mint leaves have started growing. Its two branches also rapidly growing in the horizontal direction. I hope within a few days it will cover my (8 inches by 20 inches) container. I am hopeful that within a few days I will be able to pick my homegrown mint leaves and make many delicious & refreshing drinks like natural & spicy lemonade.
