Fresh vegetables from my farm like terrace kitchen garden – December 2020

January 18, 2021 By admin Leave a Comment

If you love healthy food then you should definitely develop your own kitchen garden. If you do not have an unused yard or land at your premise then also you can build one by using your terrace. Anybody can do the same. You do not need to be an expert. You can start first then gradually you can learn from your mistakes. So here are the fresh vegetables from my farm like terrace kitchen garden. I harvested plenty of vegetables throughout the month of December 2020. I got approx 50% of vegetables of our total requirement.

There are some vegetables what I did not need to buy in the last month. Those were brinjal, carrots, coriander leaves, spinach leaves, onion leaves etc. I got a good amount of brinjal because I have 14 brinjal plants. But I expected more because all of those brinjal plants were healthy and could produce more fruits.

There were some vegetables what we had to purchase approx 50% of our total need. These were radish, sheem (sem phali/hyacinth beans/lablab beans), tomato, mustard greens etc. Sheem or sem phali or hyacinth bean plants were healthy and produced a good amount of fruits. I harvested a good amount of sheem/sem phali/hyacinth beans for one week in the last month. But after that all of my hyacinth bean plants look unhealthy, its leaves are turning yellowish. So I am taking care of my plants and expecting that I will get some more fruits in the coming days.

There were some vegetable plants what disappointed me. Those were bottle gourd plants, malabar spinach plant, okra etc. My bottle gourd plants are not growing. There are some brown spots on the leaves of malabar spinach vine.

In January 2020, I am expecting a good amount of chillies, French beans, radishes, sheem (Hyacinth beans/lalblab beans/ sem phali), capsicum and onion flower buds. Of course along with those vegetables, I will also get a lot of brinjals, tomatoes too.
