The market price of vegetables – July 2018

July 12, 2018 By admin Leave a Comment

It is almost mid of July. So drizzling & raining became common phenomena. Heavy rain & flood may lead to damages of corps and delaying in transportation.  So there are some vegetables which became either costlier or cheaper. That is why it is obvious that common people will be worried about the market price of vegetables.

There are many some vegetables & spices what we need throughout the year and all those vegetables are also available in the market in any season. Though not all those are harvesting throughout the year. That means the prices of those vegetables are varying within different ranges in the different season. Potato, onion, ginger, garlic, tomato, capsicum what we need to make food for a day to day basis. Though each vegetable has a season to grow and harvest. Potato, onion, ginger, garlic etc can be stored in cold storage very easily but tomatoes are highly perishable and very difficult to handle. But you can not make delicious gravy without tomatoes. So there are some vegetables like the tomato which becomes more sensitive to the season.

The market price of vegetables is not that much sensitive to the season. Pumpkin can be stored even at room temperature for months. Many people also store their homegrown pumpkin for four to six years at their home. But there are some vegetables are very sensitive to the season because those are not easy to store and handle. Those vegetables are even not easily available in many places in the country.
