Various types of pasta
There is nothing good like hollow small pipe-shaped pasta. Though there are different types of pasta available in this world but everybody has his own choice. People mostly prefer a certain type of pasta what often differ between two pasta lovers. Sometimes people get confused with so many options. Sometimes I often get surprised that anybody can do research on this food also, Haha! Too many options are not always good.
Pasta is an Italian dish and nowadays very popular almost all over the world. People have started making this in their own way, some of those are very popular in those regions.
Hundreds of different dishes are available in Pasta, some of those are really superbly delicious.

Do you like mixed vegetable pasta?
Or you only prefer non-vegetarian pasta dishes and always stick to that. Haha!
But I know there are so many people who actually love mixed vegetable pasta a lot, including me. But if you do not like pasta without non-vegetarian item then you can add some chicken pieces to it. Cook that separately and cut into small pieces and spread over this super delicious Indian style mixed vegetable pasta. But I would never recommend this rather you should first try this dish as it is then you can do your experiment. Huh!
FEELING HUNGRY?
Many people want to have this as a proper meal for their lunch or dinner. But some people like to have this as a light meal and consume very little quantity as a snack or meal in the evening or late morning. But I prefer this in weekend late morning as I like to break rules during the weekend, particularly SUNDAY. Do you? But I do not think anything wrong in it. People like changes and sometimes good to break own rules. I think many people do so and like to do something crazy.
The best part of pasta dish
Particularly for this dish is, it is so simple to make and a novice cook can make this without making any disaster. There are so many simple pasta dishes available and that is why people have an extra preference for pasta.
Though there are many types of raw pasta are available in different corners of this world but fortunately or unfortunately local departmental store of my locality only has two or three of those, so I do not have many options to select favorite of mine, so less chance to get confused. As a result, just go to a shop and pick which one is available and come back home. Sometimes if I wish to eat something different then I can go to a big store (not in my locality) and purchase one.
OKAY coming to Indian style spicy pasta with a lot of mixed vegetables. So what do you think about pasta? It is delicious, creamy, baked, with a lot of meat and vegetable etc. But IS IT REALLY SPICY? Nope! Italian food is actually not spicy but Indian food is spicy because there are so many spices are available in India. Those are really unique, mouth-watering flavored and that is why many people love Indian food. But also some people hate spicy food too. Hmmm, let’s do not talk about haters, rather talk about lovers. PASTA lovers.
In my childhood whenever I heard about pasta, I started thinking about Arnold’s word from Terminator movie, that was “Hasta la Vista“, sounds like ‘Hasta la Vista Pasta’ Ha ha! Okay, that does not make any sense rather out of the context but those are good memories.
Indian spices & mixed vegetable pasta
Indian spices are very famous across the globe. There are huge varieties of spices which are available in India. Here a lot of spices are used to make dishes more delicious. Roasted cumin powder, roasted coriander powder, sun-dried red chilli powder and garam masala are added in this spicy mixed vegetable pasta dish. Garam masala is widely used in Indian dishes. It includes cardamon, cinnamon and cloves powder equally.
A tomato based thick gravy is made with the help of onion paste and chopped onion slices. This thick gravy and all spices bring super yummy and mouthwatering flavor in your mixed vegetable pasta dish.
Fresh carrot, green beans and green pea are used as seasonal vegetables. All those vegetables are chopped and cooked in spicy tomato based gravy. Add lemon juice in this dish to bring little sour taste and add salt according to taste. Till all vegetables will be cooked, you have to boil all raw pasta, do not make those over boiled or less boiled. Boil according to instruction as mentioned on the package or boil it very carefully until it becomes soft and ready to eat.
Combine all ….
Now add all boiled pasta to spicy tomato based thick gravy and mix all ingredients very properly and let boiled pasta to absorb residual gravy and cook in low flame to adjust gravy. If you do not want gravy then stir it continuously and cook till it dried up.
You can have a bowl of your favorite salad dish with this spicy mixed vegetable pasta and enjoy fullest. This Indian style spicy mixed vegetable pasta is very easy to make and super delicious too. You can add any other seasonal vegetable of your choice.
The spicy mixed vegetable pasta recipe
- Onion / pyaz - 1 small, paste + 1 small, chopped
- Tomato / tamator - 1 medium size, paste
- Garlic / lahsun - 2 cloves, finely chopped
- Roasted cumin/bhuna jeera - 1 tsp, powder
- Roaster coriander/bhuna dhania - 1 tsp, powder
- Garam masala (Cardamon + Cinnamon + Cloves) - 1.5 tsp, powder
- Red chili / lal mirch - 2 tsp, powder
- Lemon juice/ numbu - 2 tsp
- Carrot / gajar - 100 gm, chopped
- Green beans - ¼ cup, chopped
- Green peas / hara matar - ¼ cup
- Pasta - 250 gm
- Oil - 1.5 tbsp
- Salt - as needed
- Water - ½ cup
- Heat oil in a wok and add finely chopped garlic and onion to fry
- When onion and garlic turns to light brown then add tomato paste and onion paste and stir
- Cook all ingredients in a wok for 4-5 minutes and let mouth watering fantastic aroma come out
- Now add all spices (roasted cumin powder, roasted jeera powder, garam masala, sun-dried red chilli powder) and mix with all other ingredients and also add salt as needed
- Add all chopped seasonal vegetables (carrot, green beans, green peas etc) in the wok and fry with all spics, it may take another 5 minutes, (by that time you can boil raw pasta in another cooking pot and keep it aside when it will be boiled, it will take hardly 5-7 minutes)
- Once you have done with frying mixed vegetable, now pour water and stir and boil to adjust thickness and also add lemon juice
- Now when it becomes thick gravy, then add all boiled pasta and mix with all vegetables and let any residual gravy be absorbed in pasta
- Spicy mixed vegetable pasta is ready to serve
If you have ready-made tomato puree at home then use it instead of tomato paste
Adding some black pepper powder may work to some extent but as here already little more sun-dried red chilli used. So be a little bit careful unless it will be too hot
If you want gravy then adjust gravy while cooking, preserve pasta-boiled-water what was used for boiling pasta and add this in Indian style spicy mixed vegetable pasta, boil to adjust the thickness
