Hot tomato soup with momos chutney, smart tomato soup

January 2, 2017 By admin Leave a Comment

Tomato soup is one of the most preferred soups in many places. Though there are many varieties of tomato soup people mostly like normal tomato soup due to the unique flavor and sweet & sour taste. Then who does like this hot tomato soup? Nobody? I like this and definitely you too. Here extra chillies and spices are added to make this tastier.

Do you like hot (chilli) taste in your tomato soup? If yes then this hot tomato soup with momos chutney is only for you.

What I did all the day

Before I will start saying anything about this soup in more details, I would like to share something funny. Haha, you simply won’t believe that I need to take rest for 2 hours before writing this. It’s just because my brain was continuously thinking about chicken coops making. 🙂 Today I spent a whole day by observing the stock market, then visited the dental clinic for some dental issue of mine and then started watching chicken coops making videos on YouTube. I always find that great fun activity but never tried.

Soup making – Chicken coops videos – Soup tasting – Again watching more videos 🙂

A few months back, I just stumbled upon one of such videos and after that, I often watch such videos whenever I feel bored & nothing to do. I almost watched a hundred videos on YouTube about such chicken/duck coop making DIY projects. It’s really fun. But you can make all those tasks once you have sufficient backyard space. I never thought people from all western countries do all such projects at their backyard what rural people actually do here in India too. Some guys were very passionate and applied a lot of advanced technology and system to increase eggs productivity like what people actually do in a commercial poultry farm. They actually used many sensors and timer so that chicken will be exposed to light for longer time. They actually spend a lot to get fresh good quality eggs. But is it only for eggs? I do not think so, actually, when you have pets or any such small buddies 🙂 at your home, it gives you unlimited joy in return.

Okay, now I am deviating from the actual topic

We were actually discussing hot tomato soup, :). Right? To be very honest, the whole day I have sent so lazily that in the evening I was not ready to make anything special but I wanted to have something that won’t require any effort. So I planned to make this soup. I discovered almost all ingredients for making hot tomato soup is in momos chutney and that I have made a few days back. So why I can not make hot chilli soup with momos chutney? I actually can do so. I just need some extra tomato and onion. So it was a smart try and it worked very well.

Just make a smooth paste of two pieces of small size tomato and one large/medium size onion and fry in a wok with refined oil or butter for 3-5 minutes. Then add three teaspoons of momos chutney and salt as needed, fry for another 3-4 minutes and also mix properly with tomato and onion paste. Add 2 cups water and boil for another 5 to 6 minutes and it is done. Spread some black pepper powder and serve hot.

You can store extra momos chutney (sauce) in your refrigerator and use it for making this hot tomato soup. But sometimes a few numbers of local food vendors use some different ingredients to make momos chutney, in such case, it will not work very much. So make your own momos chutney and use that very often. 🙂
