OMG! Foodie’s actual reason for growing radish in the garden is REVEALED

November 24, 2020 By admin Leave a Comment

You will be surprised to know the foodie’s actual reason for growing radish in the garden. Now you may ask here who is the foodie? It can be anybody who loves to eat food and also a gardener. Every foodie who grows radish in his/her garden every year will have the same reasons to do so repeatedly. Certainly, the main reason is you like radish based dishes, otherwise, a gardener won’t waste an area in his garden. But apart from that, there are 5 very significant reasons for what a foodie must grow radishes in his garden.

Okay, can you guess any of those reasons?

It would be hard to realize those reasons unless you grow radishes in your own garden. Secondly, not everybody likes radish.

So let’s do not waste time. Here is the list of those 5 reasons what I realized

Fresh & Tasty Radish

Homegrown vegetables are always fresh & tastier because those are mostly grown organically or produced by using minimum chemical inputs. If you are growing radish in your own garden then you can understand it. In fact, you do not need to store radishes in the refrigerator, so most of the time you will cook fresh radishes to make your favorite radish based dishes (muli pakoda, mulo bothi, mulo dal etc). So definitely the taste of such dishes will be better as compared to market bought radishes.

Healthier Radish

Homegrown radishes are always healthier than the market bought vegetables. Whenever we grow radishes in our garden we always prefer to avoid chemical fertilizers/insecticides/fungicides. If you are adding chemical fertilizer but being a gardener you will always try to avoid chemical pesticides because those are more harmful to our health.

Any Time Radish

Like ATM (ALL Time Money) machine, homegrown radishes are Any Time Radish. It makes radishes available to you any time. Whenever you will want to make something in radish based dishes then you will never think about the availability of radish in your kitchen inventory. You will just need to harvest fresh radishes from your garden.

Eat More Radish Greens

When we buy radishes from the market, people mostly remove the leaves because those are not fresh. Some people avoid those due to chances of extra application chemical pesticide. But radish greens are healthy. So when we grow those at the garden then we know those are fresh & safe to consume. That is why we do not want to waste those radish green. That leads us to more & more fresh & healthy radish greens consumption.

Radish With Happiness

Apart from all, homegrown radish comes with a lot of happiness because we grow those radishes with a lot of hard work. We enjoy quality times in the garden. So this is also an important reason for foodies to grow radishes in the garden. In fact, it is true for any homegrown vegetables.
