Let’s have a special drink on this Holi festival (dol purnima)

March 4, 2021 By admin Leave a Comment

Peene walo suno – let’s have a special drink on this Holi festival. Holi festival is also known as dol Jatra or dol Purnima in Bengal. Food, drinks & colors are integral parts of this festival. People play with colors for hours. They also have various snacks & drinks while playing. Some people also prefer to have those snacks & drinks and spend time with friends & family members. Many people drink a lot whenever they feel thirsty while playing. People who play Holi with family members prefer to have non-alcoholic drinks. So here is a list of such special drinks for this Holi festival (dol Jatra or dol Purnima). In case, you are interested in alcoholic drinks then you are probably not on at right page, haha.

So are you ready to hold your drinks and enjoy the coming spring festival or Holi festival? Then let’s have those drinks and make your festival the happiest one.

Holi special thandai

The first thing that comes in my mind related to holi special drinks is thandai. Do you know thandai. You have definitely tried it several times in your life. But probably you did not prepare it at home. It is very delicious, healthy and refreshing. Some desperate fun-loving people also add bhang to this thandai. So thandai is almost an inseparable part of holi. It is prepared with milk, dry fruits and various flavorful spices.

Natural & spicy lemonade

When a person is tired & sweating and think about lemonade then he will feel more thirsty and become desperate to have such drinks. But this natural & spicy lemonade is not a normal one because it is prepared with fresh & natural ingredients along with some spices.

Watermelon mocktail

Nowadays watermelons are easily available in the spring season. From the beginning of March, watermelons are easily available at reasonable across the country. Though during May & June watermelon price drops significantly. But still, during the Holi festival, anybody can buy a medium size sweet & juicy watermelon from the local market at a reasonable price. So watermelon mocktail must be included in the list to make the festival more enjoyable. This drink is truly enjoyable.

Green mango lemonade

Another seasonal drink during spring is green mango lemonade. Did you ever try it? I think many of you already tried it several times. Here in West Bengal, it is a very common drink to beat summer. It is very delicious, healthy & refreshing. It helps to maintain body temperature when the weather is becoming hotter.

Ginger soda lime

I love this ginger soda-lime throughout the year whenever I feel thirsty. Without soda, it is not so enjoyable. So if you are trying it for the first time, then you should try ginger soda lime instead of simple ginger lime. It is easy to make but a super refreshing & healthy drink.

So are you ready to grab your drink on the day of Holi? Then pick your favorite drink from this list and share which one you chose by leaving a comment below. Is there any other drinks what you love lost for that occasion?
