Attack of ants & other bugs :

Most of the small creatures like insects and bugs live in soil. So when rain falls they are effected first. So they leave their underground shelter and move to your home for safe shelter 🙂 . They search for food and live in your home till they feel safe to return. Ants are most common insect who attack our home very often.

Drains overflow :

Overflow of drainage, another major problem happens due to heavy rain. Sometime we can avoid this by taking corrective action. We can increase the depth of drain or consult with architect to solve it. But it is always not a solvable problem. Sometime it is quite  impossible to find a solution. This may due to low land area or major architectural fault. So in such case our all effort should be concentrated to reduce the adverse effects of drainage overflow. Overflow of drain may spread disease, harm plants etc. So overflow of drain should not be neglected and arrest the exact cause as soon as possible or take necessary action to reduce its harmful effects.

Seepage due to heavy rain :

Seepage is one of the major problems that many house owners have faced. Rain water can be cause of such seepage problem. Though it can be managed by proper maintenance but for that reason you need to identify or locate the pain area first. Any accumulation of rain water may find a vent through roof. Sometime faulty or damaged rain water drainage system may create seepage.

Water pollution :

Water pollution may be severe due to heavy rain.  Sometime it takes place due to damaged internal plumbing system. Whereas uncovered or improperly covered water tank may be cause of water pollution during heavy rain.

Moisture problem :

Humidity will increase after heavy rain. As high humidity is ideal condition for many insects and microorganism, so it creates unhealthy environment for us to live. Moisture may effect concrete walls of your home very badly.

These are common potential damages of a house due to heavy rain. So despite of our good memories and warmth feeling during rain, heavy rain often becomes threat to house owners.
