Methods to clean mixer grinder at home

If you clean mixer grinder after using but not satisfied due to strong odour and stain (discolour or mark), so you have to admit that normal cleaning is not sufficient to remove strong odour and stain from mixer grinder’s jars. Once you grind something of strong odour and after that you use that same jar for grinder another item  then you may smell same odour in that item too. A stain is also not good for your kitchen appliance.

How to completely remove that strong odour from mixer grinder?

use lemon to clean mixer grinder
Use lemon to remove strong odour

First do normal cleaning of mixer grinder with detergent and warm water (if possible otherwise normal water is okay). You add detergent and warm water in mixer & grinder’s jar and run it for 2 minutes. Rinse the detergent with fresh water then take a lemon peel and apply it on jar (surface and blades) thoroughly. Rub that lemon peel on jar’s surface properly. After doing that you can wash it with fresh normal water and then use a piece of cloth to dry it.

How to eliminate any stain (mark or discolour) from mixer grinder?

Use vinegar to remove stain (Its a local made vinegar so overlook that wrong spelling 😉 )

Any mark or discolour will not effect in your hygiene or performance of mixer grinder but mixer grinder is favourite kitchen appliance in any modern household and nobody prefers to have a stain on that.

So you must want to remove that mark from your mixer & grinder’s jar. You just need vinegar to remove that mark. Dilute vinegar strength according to stain type. You use a small cup of diluted vinegar solution and run mixer grinder for one minute. Wait for few minutes and make empty that jar. Use a cloth to dry it and keep it at dry place.

Some people use alcohol to get a shiny effect on jar but it is not good practice to waste alcohol that way. 😉

If you have found these tricks are helpful or you use any other method (some people use baking powder to eliminate mark but I never felt it as effective as vinegar)  to do this then let us know by leaving a comment below. Your comment may be helpful to other readers.
