Build your own chilli ATM for constant supply of green chillies

February 20, 2021 By admin Leave a Comment

Now some people will be shocked to know chilli ATM. What is that? Does this really exist on this earth? It is normal. Such a query will come into everybody’s mind. Nobody probably heard about such a thing. Huh! chilli ATM? What nonsense! But yes, nobody else will provide service except you. You need to help your family to build such a chilli ATM for the constant supply of green chillies.

I build my own chilli ATM on my rooftop. Yes, you read it correctly. There is a chilli ATM on my rooftop. I can get a lot of chillies whenever I need those.

Chilli ATM in the garden

Now how to build such a chilli ATM? What all you need to build such a thing? Do you want to know that?

Then let’s build such ATM.

You just need 4 matured chilli plants per persons in your family. Yes, if you have atleast 4 matured plants per person in your family then you will never need to buy chillies from the market. Your plants are able to provide those.

Suppose you have 4 members in your family then you need to grow 16 plants for your family. Those pepper plants will supply plenty of hot peppers throughout the year.

But proper care is needed to maintain your chilli ATM. Enough compost should be there in the potting mix. Then every month you need to add a handful of mixed organic fertilizer or simple compost should be applied. Regular application of fungicide & pesticide is also needed. I prefer to use an organic fungicide as well as pesticide. Whatever product you are using, you should maintain regularity & apply the recommended dosages for this purpose.

I have more than 12 hot pepper plants for this purpose in my rooftop garden. All of those are producing tons of green chillies. Many people would say that 2-3 plants are enough for a small family. That is not true for most Indian people.

Best chilli ATM

We Indian people actually use chillies every day and they add chillies in almost every possible dishes. Some people also prefer to eat raw chillies when they are having a meal. There are some awesome refreshing drinks that are prepared by using chillies too. The most important point is the chilli plants do not produce chillies continuously throughout the year. There is a certain period when they take a rest after proving a good amount of chillies. So in such cases, you will need atleast 4 plants per person then you will not need to visit a market for buying chillies.

Build chilli ATM

So what do you think about such a chilli ATM? Do you want to build one for your family? It will provide not only plenty of chillies, indirectly it helps you to save your money. That means it is chilli ATM in the true sense.
