Broccoli is not a popular vegetable in India. But nowadays atleast people know this vegetable and trying to make a dish with this broccoli. Otherwise, till a few years ago, people know this as green cauliflower, haha. Is this not true? But today you can see this vegetable almost every vegetable market in any Indian city. Though it is still not so popular in the village as compared to the city. But rural people also know what it is. This vegetable can be used to make delicious vegan broccoli curry for chapathi.
You can have it with rice but as it is dry so this vegan broccoli curry will go best with chapathi.
It was my second time when I made this dish. Here even onion & garlic are not used to prepare this dish.
Do you know garlic & onion are considered as ‘non-veg food’ in many places in India? (Don’t raise your eyebrows)
I mean you can not add these two ingredients in any dish for any religious occasion for the purpose of offering to God.
This dish is super delicious and simple too. It does not take too much time to make at home.
I have shared some pictures of my rooftop garden in my earlier posts. So you know that this year I have grown a few tomato plants and now those plants have started producing a lot of tomatoes too. So I harvested a few ripe tomatoes to add to this vegan broccoli curry for chapathi.
I hope next year I will also grow a few broccoli plants. This year I grew cauliflower plants. Though the size of those cauliflower florets is not so bad. But still, those are not as per my expectation.

So next year I will reduce the number of cauliflower plants and will try to grow a few broccoli plants. I hope I will be able to harvest a few organic broccoli in the next winter season.
