Best raita for biryani – The way towards happiness

June 7, 2020 By admin Leave a Comment

Raita! It is one of the most popular Indian side dishes. Raita is such a side dishes what makes any meal more enjoyable & super delicious. It is also healthy. As it is a yogurt/curd based dish, so most foodies prefer this as a side dish during summer season because it helps in digestion and maintain body temperature. That is why it is a popular side dish to have with biryani. But there are various types of raita available to have with biryani. Then what is the best raita for biryani for you?

A few years, when I was in Delhi I used to have raita along with veg biryani or chole chawal on every weekend at local restaurants in Rohini, Delhi. I found nothing is more delicious and healthy than those two. Not only that, it was not even expensive too. Veg biryani & riata was available at Rs 70 and half plate of chole chawal was available at Rs 35.Before that time, I was not so fond of raita. I used to prefer plain curd/yogurt instead of raita. But during those period I was almost addicted to boondi raita.

Best raita for biryani

Another raita I found the best for biryani was burani raita. I even never heard about such raita till I visited Hyderabad. It was also super delicious particularly to have with biryani.

I loved pineapple raita too. But it is not to have with biryani. Onion raita & cucumber raita are something what are very common & popular and easily go with any type of main course food.

A list for the best riata for biryani

Boondi raita: This is the most popular type of raita and it is very delicious to have it with any rice based main course meal.

Burani raita: It is very uncommon raita. But I would say that it is a hidden treasure for many foodies. If you ever try this with Hyderabadi biryani then you will definitely try to have it again & again.

Pineapple raita: I love it during rainy season. It is an excellent option as a side dish to have with biryani. Pineapple fruit lovers should try this.

Ripe banana raita: Though I won’t try this with biryani, rather I often have this as a snack in the evening. It is also a delicious raita. So you can try, who knows that you may love this.

Mixed fruit raita: You are free to add any fruits of your choice to this. It is also an excellent side dish for biryani.

Plain raita: It is the simplest type of raitha.

Cucumber mint raita: This greenish raita is my favorite and very helpful for digestion. So I prefer to have it with spicy biryani.

Tomato raita: I do not like it so much. But I tried it a few number of times. So you can try it so. You may like it.

Plain cucumber raita: I tried it maximum number of times. I love this side dish and very easy to make because all the ingredients are easily available at almost every Indian household.

Aloo raita: I tried it at a resaurant near Pitampura, Delhi. I loved it. But after that I did not get an opportunity to try it again. But it is a good option in raita for biryani.

Onion riata: Chopped onion, add it to curd and mix some spices. Try it then share here whether it is the best raitha for biryaani or not.

Pudina raita: Yummy & healthy curd based side dish. Try it.

Mix vegetable raita: Try finely chopped fresh vegetables to this and have it with biryaani. It is yummy yaar.

Capsicum raita: I brttrt prefer to add shallow fried capsicum instead of fresh capsicum. But you can try it according to your choice.

For me, boondi raita, onion raita, cucumber raita, plain raita & burani raita are the best for biryani. Which are for you?
