Newbie gardeners are not aware about fungicide. But most other gardeners are always looking for a good fungicide for their plants. They spend a lot; buy expensive fungicides from the store. They apply more & more chemical fungicides on their plants because they want to keep their plants healthy & green. Yes, no gardener wants to see that his/her plants are dying due to root rot, stem rot, leaf spot, white mold etc. But it is okay if a gardener owns a flower garden because they won’t eat those. But it is not okay if you own a kitchen garden and produce a lot of vegetables for your family. Application of chemical fungicide should as less as possible. It is better if you can completely avoid those chemical fungicides. Then what to do? Here is the best homemade & natural fungicide for my vegetable plants.
It is a traditional fungicide what people are using for hundred of years. It became very very popular since last one 10-15 years. Due to social media & online platforms it gains more popularity among organic farmers & gardeners.
I believe if you are a kitchen gardener that means you want fresh & healthy vegetables along with fun of gardening. Then you should grow those absolutely organic. If it is not possible then atleast you should adopt practices of traditional natural farming. You can prepare natural & homemade pesticides & fertilizers for regular usage. You can take help of chemical inputs whenever you think your plant is dying due to any reason. I follow this rule, I apply pestciides bought from market whenever there is any crisis situation. But during this lockdown situation, I am not visiting the local shop. So I am trying to manage my kitchen garden only with natural homemade pesticides.
Okay, now coming to this homemade natural fungicide. It is very popular because it is easy to prepare, less expensive and super effective. It only needs two ingredients – curd/dahi & copper wire/pot.
