It is also very popular snack item in this region. In rural Bengal, it is often considered as light meal. People often have this with evening tea. There are many traditional puffed rice based dishes (muri makha) what many Bengali people love a lot.

I mean people normally serve it with pinches of roasted spices, finely chopped raw onion, cucumber, tomato and tamarind extracts. But people often have it along with roti, bread, muri too.
